AARON BOND
The Performance Center is excited to add Aaron Bond to our team of instructors. Aaron is a graduate of South Bend Clay High School where he helped lead them to the 2013 sectional championship. After high school, he went to the #1 ranked Junior College, San Jancinto College in Houston Texas. During both of his 2 years at San Jancinto, the team finished national runner up at the Junior College World Series. Aaron was drafted in the 39th round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals but decided to return for his final year of Junior College. In the 2017 MLB Draft, Aaron was selected in the 12th round by the San Francisco Giants. In his 3 seasons in the Giants minor league system, Aaron hit 33 home runs and 111 RBIs.
Aaron is currently working as a rehab coach for the Cincinnati Reds in Arizona. It is his job to work with players that are recovering from injuries to help them with their running, defense, and hitting progressions so they can get back to playing at the level at which they were prior to their injury or even improve their performance when they return. As a Reds coach this past year, Aaron has been able to work with Major Leaguers like Elly De La Cruz, Christian Encarnacion Strand, Jonathan India and Hunter Greene along with many top prospects in the Reds organization.
