Can I drop in?Yes, however, batting cage availability is first-come, first-serve. To ensure a spot, please make a reservation through our online reservation form. During home games at Four Winds Field, the facility will only be open to ticketed guests.

What are the age-range recommendations for the facility?Athletes must be at least 13 years of age. Younger athletes are also welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.

Do you provide safety equipment?Yes. We provide multiple helmets for every cage (3 different sizes to choose from). You are also allowed to bring in your own helmets, but they must be worn in the batting cages at all times. Our batting cages are secured behind a 7-foot chain-link fence which ensures that players and spectators are protected from stray balls and other equipment. Please note there are no medical trainers on staff for the general public.

Are the trainers on-site at all times?Yes.

Can I practice with the South Bend Cubs team?Our South Bend Cubs have their own training schedule, therefore it’s not possible to schedule training directly with the team. However, their training often overlaps with our public hours of operation, so you can often observe them from the observation deck above.

Can I reserve the entire facility?Yes! Our training area can be reserved in whole or in part to accommodate the needs of your team, corporate event or private function. Visit the “Pricing and Membership” section of the website or call 574-404-3636 for more information.

Will there be Chicago Cubs players at our facility?At times, it’s possible for a Chicago Cubs team member to be in town using our facility for training purposes during rehab after an injury. From time to time, there could also be Chicago Cubs trainers on site as well.
