Jimmy Gonzalez

Manager, South Bend Cubs

Jimmy Gonzalez is beginning his 2nd season as the manager of the South Bend Cubs and his 3rd overall season as a manager in the Cubs organization. Gonzalez has also spent time as a hitting coach for the Rookie League Mesa Cubs. In 1991, he was drafted in the first round of the MLB draft by the Houston Astros. He would go on to play 14 seasons in the minor leagues as a catcher.


Guillermo Martinez

Hitting Coach, South Bend Cubs

Guillermo Martinez is beginning his first season with the South Bend Cubs and his third season in the Cubs organization. Martinez was drafted in the 2006 MLB Draft by the Miami Marlins in the 15th Round. He played in the organization for 3 seasons before turning to coaching.


Ricardo Medina

Assistant Coach, South Bend Cubs

Ricardo Medina has been in the Cubs organization since 1999 as a coach, manager, or a scout. Medina has spent time coaching for Panama in the 2007 Baseball World Cup and the 2009 World Baseball Classic. He played in the Minor Leagues for six seasons before becoming a coach.


David Rosario

Pitching Coach, South Bend Cubs

David Rosario is beginning his 12th year in the Chicago Cubs organization. As a player, the left handed pitcher spent 9 years in the minor leagues, including six seasons with the Cubs. He spent 2 seasons playing Independent Baseball in the Atlantic League. In 2015, as the pitching coach for the Class High-A Myrtle Beach Pelicans, his pitching staff had a 3.01 ERA and a league best 1.16 WHIP to help win the Carolina League Championship.
